Discover the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai's compact Tucson SUV is set to receive a series of small yet impactful updates for the 2025 model year, alongside its Santa Cruz pickup truck sibling. The most significant changes come to the interior, mirroring the updates seen in the smaller Kona last year. The Tucson now features a new, more angular dashboard design, complete with Hyundai's latest corporate display setup. This setup includes a pair of 12.3-inch screens placed atop the dash, along with a row of physical buttons and knobs beneath the central touchscreen. Additionally, a convenient shelf has been carved out above the glovebox, offering extra storage space for passengers. Not just cosmetic, these updates also bring new functionality, with the Tucson now capable of receiving over-the-air updates for its infotainment system.

Exterior Refinements and Trim Updates

Beyond the interior, the 2025 Tucson receives updates to its front and rear bumpers, as well as a revised daytime running light setup. Previously featuring ten chiclet-shaped LEDs integrated into the grille, the new design opts for eight LEDs, resulting in a slightly cleaner look. The Tucson also sports new anodized aluminum badging and updated aluminum wheel designs across its lineup, ranging from 17 to 19 inches in diameter.

Powertrain Options

The 2025 Tucson lineup continues to offer gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants. The gas version is powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 engine producing 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and available in either front- or all-wheel drive configurations. The hybrid models feature a turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 with electric assist, with the standard hybrid producing 231 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and the plug-in hybrid delivering 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

Technological Advancements

Hyundai has also brought over several technologies from its other models, including Digital Key 2, which allows compatible smartphones to be used as the Tucson's key. The 2025 Tucson also offers standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the ability to receive over-the-air updates for its infotainment system.

Trim Levels and XRT Package

The 2025 Tucson will be available in trim levels including SE, SEL, Limited, N Line, and, for the hybrid, Blue. Additionally, Hyundai is introducing the XRT trim, featuring an "outdoors-themed" styling package with all-terrain tires, 18-inch wheels, and raised roof rails.

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson represents a significant update for the compact SUV, with a focus on interior refinement, technology, and styling enhancements. With a range of powertrain options and trim levels, the Tucson continues to offer versatility and capability in a competitive segment.
